Sony announced Everybody's Tennis for PS2, developer by Clap Hanz. The game will have similar designs as Minna no Golf, with easy control and deep gameplay. Both Gloria and Suzuki from Minna no Golf [HotShot Golf] will be in the game. Everybody's Tennis will have online support, and the game will run at 60fps.

Sega announced Shining Force EXA

Sega announced Shining Force EXA for PS2, the sequel to Shining Force NEO, which is a RPG instead of S.RPG. The game is scheduled for a winter 2006 release in Japan. The protagonists are Touma and Shiril, accompanied by a pet animal. The game is currently 60% completed.

DS Lite Takes Europe By Storm

Nintendo of Europe has today confirmed a successful launch for Nintendo DS Lite, with over 200,000 units of the portable handheld sold in the first ten days since it was released on June 23rd. Whist not as high as the 136,000 sold in North America within the first two days, it seems that Nintendo's European division are nonetheless satisfied with the figures to date:

"Nintendo DS has introduced thousands of new people to gaming and will continue to expand the gaming population due to its ability to appeal to both gamers and non-gamers. During Nintendo DS Lite launch weekend, retailers across Europe said that they had never seen such a vast array of different people buying the product, everyone from business men to young women to grandfathers! said Laurent Fischer, European Marketing Director, Nintendo of Europe.

The figure means that the total number of DS handhelds across Europe (including the original design)has surpassed the five million mark.

Nintendo has also confirmed that over three million copies of Nintendogs have been sold in Europe, along with 600,000 units of Animal Crossing: Wild World, and 250,000 copies of Brain Training.

PSP : Ridge Racers 2

Bandai Namco announced Ridge Racers 2 for PSP will be released in Japan on September 14, 2006, for 5040 yen. The sequel to the popular PSP racing game. This time the game will have a total of 42 courses, including 24 courses from the Ridge Racer series, including Ridge Racer Revolution, Rage Racer and R4: Ridge Racer Type 4; plus 18 scudding and mirror courses not found in the series. There will be 54 car models from the series, plus 8 special models not found in the previous works.

The Nitro system will be in the game, and a new Survival mode is added. The game also support multiplayers using Ad Hoc mode, up to 8 players can battle over WiFi connection.

- Game Informer reported that Electronic Arts' the NDS and Wii version of Need for Speed: Carbon will not have Wi-Fi online support. Online support is only available in the PS2, Xbox, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. In addition, EA does not plan to support the motion sensing capabilities in the Wii and PS3 version, due to concerns of player fatigue.
